About Us
We work in Tanzania to reduce the number of abandoned children and the deaths of children that can result from their abandonment. Over the past 30 years, we have taken in more than 300 children. We provide care for children whose parents have either died or abandoned them and for children rescued from human trafficking. Our primary goal is to find families to adopt our children. For those children who are not adopted, Samaritan Village provides a safe and stable Christian home environment with many mamas and caregivers, even more brothers and sisters, and a father named Josephat (our Director).

The Need
Each year in Africa, hundreds of children are orphaned and abandoned. Some are left in garbage cans; others are left by the side of a road or in an abandoned building. Infants may be left at the hospital, with a neighbor, or even given to a stranger. Children who have been rescued from human trafficking need a home. The need to rescue these children and provide them with a home is why Samaritan Village Orphanage exists.

Help us Build a NEW Hospital
Established in 2019, our on-site medical clinic delivers urgent care, laboratory, pharmacy, and comprehensive maternity services to our orphanage and the surrounding community. While the clinic has significantly enhanced local health outcomes, systematic gaps persist. Currently, over 30 local orphanages lack access to standard medical care. Our upcoming hospital expansion will bridge this divide by providing comprehensive medical services entirely free of charge to these underserved children. Additionally, transitioning to the new hospital will allow us to retrofit the current clinic building to make room for more abandoned children.
